(Last Updated On: October 27, 2021) Although our ancestor Syed Muhammad Ali Tirmizi came to sub-continent in 1543 A.D with Mughal Emperor Humayoun as one of the soldiers sent by Persian emperor Shah Tahmasp to regain his throne. According to the ancestral records Muhammad Ali Tirmizi became the governor of Lahore due to his diplomatic abilities and scholarly approach. Though many of his successors were also part of many others battles (i.e. Pir Budhu shah who was the ally of Guru Gobind Singh in the battle of Bhangani 1686 A.D) most of them were scholars, this love for knowledge is somehow still runs in my family. I am thankful for Ms Symah Shaheen to create this imaginary picture of Syed Muhammad Ali Tirmizi (obviously I am the reference subject) on the occasion of International Teachers Day.
